Visualise and optimise the IT resources to the business objectives
London, 7 October 2009: Intergence Systems revealed the first views of its new 3D graphics real-time modelling software at IP EXPO 09 at Earls Court. The software provides for the first time, a clear, real-time, three-dimensional view of the entire IT estate and is part of the company’s Next Generation IT Optimisation services suite. Instead of having to drill down through data on a dashboard, IT Managers can now see their estate in 3D, enabling rapid insight into what’s working or, in many cases, not working, so that action can be quickly taken as required.
A recent study* by the Aberdeen Group identified that the focus of IT people is no longer inward on the technology but outward on the needs of the business. A specific example is that 58% of the IT leaders interviewed identified improving customer service as their #1 pressure – both from internal and external customers. This supports the Intergence Systems view that IT Optimisation has to be positioned within the context of what the business is trying to achieve and the relationships it is trying to build with employees, partners, media and customers.
The new 3D graphic modelling software (based on gaming technology) is a core part of Intergence’s next generation IT Optimisation services suite and its approach to IT optimisation which, rather than simply tuning the network, focuses on optimising the IT assets to meet the needs of the business. By identifying the inter-dependencies between the network and data centres and the security of the organisation, Intergence Systems is able to assist companies in maximising the ROI on assets, reducing risk and enabling hard pressed IT budgets to deliver better services to business.
“To help IT leaders extract greater value from existing IT assets, we have developed a business-analysis methodology and an integrated suite of services that incorporates our new 3D graphic modelling software”, said Peter Job, CEO, Intergence. “We apply a mix of these services to meet each clients specific needs, delivering insight and clarity into how their networks, data centre and security is operating that leads to recommendations on how to gain cost savings and enhanced performance and, overall, to increased business productivity.”
The Intergence Systems services suite enables a systematic identification of what the business needs from IT, the assets it has on its networks and data centres and selection of the best mix of products and services to deliver IT Optimisation. The Company’s independence enables it to use its vendor neutral position to recommend what it believes is strategically right for each client’s individual situation. The results are clearly identified benefits including costs savings, cost not being incurred and the mitigation of risk.
Intergence Systems’ clients include a mix of blue-chip companies and enterprises including BT, Fujitsu, Lloyds TSB, RBS, Thomson Reuters and Vodafone. Its partners include Airwave Solutions, Certeon, Global Crossing, Ipanema and Riverbed. Intergence is based in Cambridge, UK and has offices in Dubai and New York.
