Intergence wins a major research grant award for research into innovative techniques to manage information infrastructure and security.
Cambridge, UK. 23 November 2009 - Intergence Systems, a leading independent IT optimisation consultancy, today announced that it has won a competition run by the Technology Strategy Board for funding to further develop its innovative range of optimisation services. The investment of £500,000 will cover research in the area of network security and information infrastructure protection. As part of the innovation, Intergence has signed a consortium agreement with Cambridge-based graphics experts Geomerics.
Geomerics is an innovation-led company specialising in graphics software and will provide high-resolution graphics expertise to Intergence. Geomerics is world renowned for its product “Enlighten” which redefines the way that lighting is handled in computer games. Geomerics has also previously received funding from the TSB for Enlighten.
Peter Job, CEO of Intergence commented, “This investment underscores the innovative IT optimisation solutions we are developing and clearly illustrates that we are involved in ground breaking research and development. As our clients continue to increase the complexity of their IT estates, being able to seek clarity whilst automating and predicting traffic and applications in a secure environment is becoming ever more challenging.”
Intergence’s optimisation services suite, and in particular the IT3Dmap solution, allows it to offer its clients a much quicker and safer way of planning and predicting infrastructure growth whilst maintaining security integrity.
