Actually maybe I can.
I'm not one to get carried away on the "nu-tech" bandwagon (quietly closes the elephants graveyard desk drawer of shiny yet legacy electronics....oooh I forgot I had an N-Gage). So I treat the release of the Cisco Cius with a certain amount of arms length dubiety. However I think, of all the company's going down the slate route,
Cisco might have actually hit on something quite useful, perhaps if only a wee bit late to the party.- You want apps, Android me up Froyo.
- You want function just look at the neat deskphone cradle. Nice one unsung engineer.
- You want form, it looks just about pocket-able ?!? (well more so than the iPad), and beergoggles are not necessary to love this thing.
It's like what Chumby turns into when he grows up, slims down and gets himself a job in the city. I'm going to hold on before pitching my tent outside the Tasman Drive HQ Cisco Shop but I'll be looking out for a hands on as soon as possible please Engadget et al.
If nothing else it definitely looks a better bet for slipping past the finance office than the iPad does. Anyone else got an opinion on this ?

My opinion is a little biased :) but I think the Cius has some real potential. The Android platform is special and I hope that Cius becomes a great developer platform for Enterprise focused applications. The promise of Bordeless Collaboration through Borderless Networks powered by Virtualised Data Centers might just become real :).
