Heating up in Dubai

As the temperature start to drop in Dubai, one could easily be fooled by the press both in the U.K. and in Dubai that all is still "gloom and doom". All I can say is from personal experience, Dubai seems to be back to it's best. Alongside the traffice jams, buildings are still going up "at a pace" and the road works are as confusing as ever. Even the schools are apparently full and people are still moaning about the cost of living!

Having just finished five days at Gitex, I am inclined to say that the recession seems to have well and truely finished here. We had a fantastic Gitex show and what impressed me was the interest we generated on our stand, together with the knowledge and variety of many of the visitors. Gitex seemed really busy and we have many quality leads to follow up in the coming weeks. Much of this is down to our new 3D visualisation and our focus on data centres, networks and security optimisation. I will not be surprised if our competitors will be following us at next years Gitex.

The economic news from the U.K. is not as positive, although IP09 provided similar results to Gitex for us. Our growth continues to increase at around 50% per annum. Much of this is down to our innovation, quality and our focus on helping clients to drive down costs. Our new 3D visualisation has also been extremely well recieved as it enables us to deliver optimised solutions more quickly and efficiently to our clients.

So my view from both Dubai and the U.K. is that we may be entering cooler weather, but the economic opportunities are heating up quickly and Dubai is a great place to start!
