Overview
Over the course of the last six years, Intergence has worked with a number of large organisations to provide a mix of out-tasking, process re-engineering, high value technical consulting and business transformation services where clients – for a variety of reasons – preferred not to build and operate certain functions in-house.
Challenges
Many clients choose not to build and operate all ICT and support functions in-house. There can be a number of reasons for a client choosing to partner as opposed to staffing entirely from the direct full-time employee base. These include:
- Headcount strategy / restrictions
- Ability to source skills for rapid mobilisation
- Short-to-medium term deployments do not necessarily lend themselves to skills available for redeployment within the business
- Projects with very complex start-up requirements
- Preference to focus upon core-competencies and selectively out-source/out-task others
- Capex vs Opex considerations
- Organisational strategy
Our Approach
Intergence works with the client to establish the business strategy and organisational context within which the requirements have emerged. We compose and frame a Scope of Works within this context, and ensure input is received from all relevant stakeholders to ensure full alignment of the resultant deliverables with the client’s objectives.
Upon approval of the Scope of Works, Intergence relies upon our proven selection and resourcing process to identify, screen, interview, select and deploy the appropriate highly skilled consulting expertise in line with the requirements of the programme or engagement. Where appropriate, Intergence will place our own employees into the engagement which helps ensure the highest delivery quality.
We continue to manage the operational deployment of the team throughout the lifecycle of the engagement, holding regular reviews with the client liaison manager to ensure deliverables are in line with expectations and ongoing business strategy. This can also be underpinned with SLAs which can be formally reviewed on a regular basis.
Business Benefits
The benefits of working with Intergence to deliver complex, high value but non-core programmes include:
- Ability to leverage best-of-breed skills and expertise not necessarily readily available in-house
- Ability to focus on core business objectives thus releasing scarce resource to be effectively deployed
- Smooth Opex costs across life of project and reduce on-boarding costs for Full Time Equivalent resource
- Reduced risk in terms of HR and management intervention as Intergence underwrites the quality and suitability of resources to complete the engagement
- Reassurance from Intergence track record of previous complex engagements
